Chat From Any Tab

Talk to your agents while you browse. Full streaming chat in the Vibey Mini sidebar, with the current page available as context in one click.

The Chat tab in Vibey Mini is a full streaming conversation with your Vibey agents. The same chat as the main app, living in your browser sidebar.

What You Can Do

  • Continue any conversation. Your existing chats from the main app show up in the dropdown at the top. Pick one, read the history, keep going.
  • Start a fresh conversation. Hit the + button in the header to start a new one.
  • Attach the page you are on. A toggle in the composer adds the current page's URL, title, selection, and article text to your next message, so you do not have to paste links or quotes.
  • Jump to the main app. The arrow icon in the header opens the conversation in the main Vibey window where the full Space (Docs, Channels, Views) is available.

The Page-Context Toggle

When the toggle is on, each message you send includes:

  • The URL of the current tab
  • The page title
  • Any text you've highlighted
  • The cleaned article text (if the page has one. Extracted the same way a reader mode does)

The agent sees it as context, so you can just say "summarize this" or "turn this into 3 LinkedIn posts" without pasting.

When the toggle is off, your messages are pure. No page data attached.

Highlight the specific paragraph you care about before sending. The agent prioritizes your selection over the full article.

Streaming and Tool Events

The agent's reply streams live. Same as the main app. When an agent uses a tool (searching, generating an image, pulling data from the web), you will see a little chip appear inline:

  • Purple/blue chip tool starting
  • Green chip finished successfully
  • Red chip something failed

Tools show their name and label so you know what the agent is doing.

Organizations and Campaigns

If your active organization changes, chats follow automatically. The sidebar uses whichever org you last selected in the main app.

Conversations tied to a specific campaign stay in that campaign. When you start a new chat from Vibey Mini, it goes into your default scope unless you pick a campaign.

Limits

  • Mobile-shaped. The sidebar is narrow. For heavy conversations with lots of artifacts, click the open-in-app arrow to jump to the main Vibey window.
  • One session at a time. If you start a new conversation while another is streaming, the streaming response is cancelled first.
  • Tool-produced artifacts (generated images, documents, videos) show up in the main app's Space (Docs view, Media view, or the matching artifact view). The sidebar does not render large artifacts inline.
