How Autopilot Works
Vibey watches everything happening across your campaigns, missions, and agents, and takes action like a real CEO would.
Your CEO Never Sleeps
Think of Vibey as a CEO who is always sitting with all of your data: your campaigns, your Spaces, your missions, your subtasks, your agents, your deliverables, and your strategy. Vibey knows exactly what is going on at all times.
Just like a real CEO, Vibey can:
- Take action when something needs to happen (create missions, retry failed work, reassign agents)
- Send you a message when something needs your attention
- Wait when nothing is urgent enough to act on
This is not a simple flow. It is a decision-making loop that evaluates signals, weighs priorities, and acts only when it makes sense.
What Vibey Can Do Autonomously
When Autopilot is active, Vibey can take these actions without waiting for you:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create missions | Identify work that needs to happen and assign it to agents |
| Retry failed work | Re-attempt missions or subtasks that failed, with a smarter approach |
| Reassign agents | Move work to a different agent if one is stuck or better suited |
| Comment on missions | Add context or direction to in-progress work |
| Append subtasks | Add new subtasks to an existing mission |
| Edit or cancel subtasks | Adjust the plan mid-execution |
| Replan missions | Rebuild the subtask plan if the current approach isn't working |
| Pause missions | Stop work that shouldn't continue right now |
| Amend missions | Adjust mission scope or direction |
| Nudge stuck subtasks | Push stalled work forward |
| Update progress notes | Track what's happening for your review |
Always Watching
Vibey continuously monitors your operations, even when Autopilot is off. If something is blocked, stuck, or failed, the system detects it and can unblock it automatically. Failed work gets retried. Stalled tasks get recovered. You do not need to babysit.
When Autopilot is on, Vibey goes further - proactively creating new work, reassigning agents, and keeping everything moving toward your strategy.
With and Without Strategy
| Scenario | What happens |
|---|---|
| Strategy defined + Autopilot on | Full autonomy. Vibey creates new missions, manages the team, and keeps everything aligned with your Result, Purpose, Strategy, and Off-Limits. |
| No strategy + Autopilot on | Vibey still monitors existing missions. Can unblock, retry, comment, and nudge, but will not create new missions on its own. |
| Autopilot off | Scheduler watchdogs still run. Failed missions get retried. Stuck work gets recovered. But no new autonomous decisions or mission creation. |
Auto-Approve Plans
When Vibey plans a mission, it normally pauses and asks for your approval before agents start executing. You can change this:
- Auto-approve off (default). Every plan waits for your review. You approve, then agents execute.
- Auto-approve on. Plans are approved automatically. Agents start working immediately after planning.
If a plan has been sent for approval 3 times (through revision cycles), it auto-approves on the 4th round regardless of your setting.
Toggle auto-approve in the Autopilot settings panel inside the campaign's dashboard or from any Space the campaign owns.
How Vibey Reaches You
When Vibey needs your attention, it sends a message through your preferred channel:
| Channel | Where to set it |
|---|---|
| Home / Team (default) | Messages appear in the Waiting on You card on Home and as awareness points in the platform |
| Telegram | Connect Telegram on Vibey's profile in the Team page, Communication tab |
| Slack | Connect Slack on Vibey's profile in the Team page, Communication tab |
Set your preferred channel during onboarding or update it anytime in Vibey's Communication tab. When set to Telegram or Slack, Vibey sends notifications there in addition to the platform.
Daily Digest
At a time you choose, Vibey compiles everything that happened in the last 24 hours into a short narrative summary and sends it to your preferred channel. This is your morning briefing: what got done, what is in progress, what needs your attention.
Configure digest timing in Vibey's Communication tab:
- Enable or disable the daily digest
- Choose your preferred time (checked every 30 minutes)
- Delivery goes to your preferred channel (Team, Telegram, or Slack)
Credits and Auto-Recharge
Autopilot consumes credits like any other agent activity. If credits run out while Autopilot is running, it pauses automatically and notifies you.
Enable auto-recharge in Account Settings → Billing to keep Autopilot running without interruption. Without it, Autopilot stops when credits hit zero, and your agents sit idle until you manually top up.
When you enable Autopilot, the settings panel recommends turning on auto-recharge to prevent this.
How to Enable Autopilot
- Open the Campaign you want Autopilot to manage
- Click the Autopilot toggle in the Campaign Dashboard
- Choose whether to enable auto-approve plans
- Optionally enable auto-recharge for uninterrupted operation
- Confirm
When to Use Autopilot
Great for:
- Ongoing campaigns with clear goals and defined strategy
- Content operations that need consistent output
- Campaigns with multiple agents working on different pieces
- Keeping work moving while you're away
Less ideal for:
- Brand new campaigns where you're still exploring direction
- Work that requires your creative input at every step
For hands-on work, use Team chat. For delegation with oversight, use Missions. Autopilot is for when you want Vibey to run the operation.
