User Brain
Your personal knowledge base. Your voice, your preferences, your individual context. Every agent on your team can access it.
The User Brain is your personal knowledge base. It contains everything about you as an individual: your voice, your preferences, your experience, how you think and communicate. Every agent on your team can access it. This is the identity layer that all other brains build on.
What Belongs Here
Knowledge that is about you as a person, not your organization:
- Your communication style how you write, how you talk, what tone you use
- Your preferences "we never use emojis in professional copy," "always lead with data"
- Your personal context your background, your origin story, what you have built before
- Meeting recordings rich context from real strategy calls and conversations
- Your decisions the choices you have made and why
- Personal notes ideas, frameworks you are developing, things you want to remember
If it is about how the organization works (processes, brand voice, SOPs across the company), it belongs in the Company Brain, not here.
If it is about a customer (real signals from real interactions), it belongs in the Customer Brain.
How to Add Knowledge
Go to the Brain page from the sidebar. Make sure your User Brain is selected in the scope picker. Click Add Information in the top right corner. You have three input modes plus an import menu:
Text
Type or paste content directly. Great for quick notes, personal preferences, or frameworks. Add a title and hit save.
Link
Paste a URL and Vibey extracts the useful content from the page. Works with blog posts, articles, documentation, and any public web page.
Voice Recording
Click the microphone to record a voice memo. Vibey transcribes it and saves the content as a memory. Useful for capturing ideas on the go.
Import
Click Import to access additional sources:
| Source | What it does |
|---|---|
| Upload from local | Drag and drop PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, text files, audio, or video. Supported: .txt, .md, .csv, .json, .xml, .yaml, .pdf, .docx, .png, .jpg, .mp3, .wav, .mp4, .mov |
| Google Drive | Browse and import files from your connected Google Drive |
| Dropbox | Browse and import files from your connected Dropbox |
| Fathom | Select specific meeting recordings to import (requires Fathom connected) |
| Fireflies | Select specific transcripts to import (requires Fireflies connected) |
| Media Library | Import from your Space media assets |
Connecting Fathom and Fireflies
Meeting recordings are some of the richest knowledge sources. Connect your meeting tools in Workspace Settings → Brain:
Fathom
- Connect your Fathom account from Workspace Settings → Brain
- Toggle auto-ingest on. New meetings are automatically added to your Brain without lifting a finger
- Or import specific meetings manually from the Add Information → Import → Fathom menu
Fireflies
- Connect your Fireflies account from Workspace Settings → Brain
- Run a manual sync to pull in transcripts
- Or import specific transcripts from the Add Information → Import → Fireflies menu
Managing Your User Brain
Search
Search across all your memories by topic, keyword, or meaning from the Brain page search bar.
Delete
- Delete a single memory removes that piece of knowledge and its connections to other memories
- Delete a source removes the source and cascades to all memories extracted from it. Delete a PDF, and every piece of knowledge from that PDF is removed.
Copy and Move
Transfer memories to a Company Brain, Customer Brain, Agent Brain, or Campaign Brain:
- Copy keeps the original in your User Brain
- Move removes it from your User Brain
Talk to Atlas
Atlas is your Brain Scholar. Talk to Atlas from the Brain page to ask questions about your knowledge, save new memories conversationally, search across everything you have stored, and identify gaps.
Crystallization
Over time, your Brain accumulates many individual memories. Crystallization is the process of organizing and connecting them: finding patterns, grouping related knowledge, and strengthening the graph. Atlas can trigger crystallization to keep your Brain well-structured.
Brain Health
The Brain settings page in Workspace Settings → Brain shows your connection status for Fathom and Fireflies, auto-ingest settings, and overall brain health.
Everything in the User Brain is accessible to all agents on your team (unless you toggle off User Brain access for specific agents in their configuration). If something should only be known by one agent, put it in their Agent Brain instead.
The Difference It Makes
Without User Brain: "Write a LinkedIn post about our new product." → Generic post with placeholder language that could be about anyone's product.
With User Brain loaded: Same request. → Post that uses your vocabulary, matches how you actually talk, and reflects the personal context that makes it sound like you wrote it.
