Cortex Max

The upgrade that turns your brain from a storage box into a living library. Atlas organizes your memories into structured knowledge pages your agents can actually read and reason from.

What Cortex Max Does

Without Cortex Max, your brain holds individual memories. Pieces of information from conversations, meetings, and documents. They are searchable, but disconnected.

When you enable Cortex Max, Atlas reads through everything in your brain and builds a library. He groups related information into named pages: one on your brand voice, one on your marketing strategy, one on your audience, one on your competitors, whatever patterns exist in what you have shared with Vibey.

After the first build, the library stays current automatically. Every time you add new information, Atlas processes it and updates the relevant pages.

What the Library Looks Like

Your library is organized into four types of pages:

TypeWhat it contains
CapsuleA short summary of everything. The essence of who you are, what you do, and how you think. Every time Atlas works, this is the first thing he reads.
TopicsPages about the big themes in your business: brand voice, marketing strategy, competitive positioning, audience. Updated most often as you add new information.
EntitiesPages about specific things: a particular competitor, a specific product, a campaign you ran, a key relationship. Detailed, focused, reference-quality.
SynthesisPages that connect the dots across topics. Campaign learnings, how your strategy evolved, what your brand learned about itself. These contain insights that do not exist in your raw memories. Atlas built them by thinking across everything.

How to Enable It

  1. Go to the Brain page from the sidebar
  2. Pick the brain you want to upgrade in the scope picker (User, Company, Customer, Agent, or Campaign)
  3. Click the Cortex Max icon (purple icon in the toolbar)
  4. Click Enable Max
  5. Atlas starts the initial library sync

You can also toggle Cortex Max from Workspace Settings → Brain.

How It Gets Smarter

Every conversation, every meeting you crystallize, every document you upload. Atlas processes it and either updates an existing page or creates a new one when a pattern emerges. The library compounds.

Your agents read from this library when they work. Instead of searching through disconnected pieces, they read organized, cross-referenced knowledge.

Where It Applies

Cortex Max works per brain. You can enable it on:

  • User Brain Atlas organizes your personal knowledge
  • Company Brain Atlas organizes how the org actually operates
  • Customer Brain Atlas surfaces emergent customer avatars and patterns
  • Agent Brain Atlas organizes each agent's specialist knowledge
  • Campaign Brain Atlas organizes project-specific knowledge

Each brain gets its own independent library.

Cortex Max on the Customer Brain

This is a particularly powerful combination. Once enabled on the Customer Brain, Atlas surfaces:

  • Topic pages themes that show up across many customers (pricing objections, onboarding friction)
  • Entity pages specific high-signal customers with everything you know about them
  • Synthesis pages patterns across the whole customer base
  • Emergent avatars bottom-up customer clusters built from real evidence

This turns the Customer Brain from a stack of notes into a living model of your customer base.

Atlas needs at least 10 memories in a brain to trigger the first library sync. If you have just started, upload some content first and then enable Cortex Max.
