WordPress
Connect WordPress.com, Jetpack-connected, or self-hosted WordPress sites so agents can publish and manage content.
What It Connects
WordPress supports two connection methods:
| Method | Use it for |
|---|---|
| WordPress.com | WordPress.com sites and Jetpack-connected sites |
| Self-hosted WordPress | GoDaddy, Bluehost, WP Engine, Kinsta, and other WordPress installs |
Self-hosted sites connect with WordPress Application Passwords. WordPress.com and Jetpack-connected sites connect with WordPress.com OAuth.
What Agents Can Do
After WordPress is connected, agents can:
- List, create, update, and publish posts
- List, create, and update pages
- Upload media
- List and create categories
- List and create tags
- Read connected site information
- Publish Vibey blog posts to WordPress without duplicating an existing synced post
Connecting WordPress
Open Integrations
Go to Workspace Settings → Integrations.
Choose WordPress
Find WordPress in the Library and click Connect.
Choose connection method
Pick WordPress.com for WordPress.com or Jetpack sites. Pick Self-hosted WordPress for your own WordPress install.
Authorize the site
WordPress redirects you back to Vibey after authorization. The connection appears in the Manage tab.
Credential Storage
WordPress credentials are encrypted in Vibey's vault. The integration connection row stores only non-secret metadata such as site URL, connection method, site name, and sync IDs.
Blog Publishing
When an agent publishes a Vibey blog post to WordPress, Vibey stores sync metadata on the blog post:
wordpress_post_idwordpress_post_urlwordpress_synced_at
Future updates use that post ID to update the existing WordPress post instead of creating a duplicate.
